What's My Role?

As your professor, I am here to support you in meeting our course goals. I strive to make this course clear and ensure you can see your pathway to success. Being a student involves a lot more than course work though. I want to encourage you to be aware of and utilize the amazing resources that the University of New Brunswick has available to you. If I sense you might benefit from one of these resources, I will let you know. If you feel you might benefit from them, by all means, take care of yourself by reaching out directly for assistance

Student Support Services

ITS Help Desk

Information Technology Services (ITS) Help Desk is available to assist you with issues related to UNB's information technology services (Microsoft Office/M365, printing on campus) as well as support for services provided by UNB.

Harriet Irving Library

The Harriet Irving Library (HIL) is the main library within the UNB campus system. They provide a vareity of academic supports to students: research assistance, research toolkits, academic and research workshops, group study rooms, and much more.

Writing & Study Skills Centre

The Wrtiing and Study Skills Centre is available to all UNB students. The UNB Fredericton Writing and Study Skills Program provides direct tutoring and small group workshops in several areas including academic writing, citation formats, time management, learning strategies, and examination preparation.

If you are a student with a disability of any type you are strongly encouraged to register with the UNBF Student Accessibility Centre (SAC) so that you may receive appropriate services and accommodations to support your learning.

College of Extended Learning (UNB CEL) provides continuing educationand professional development to adult learners, as well as online programming for individuals individuals within private and public organizations, locally, nationally and globally. They administer the BIS program, and are a poinnt of contact for students taking Adult Education and other online or open entry courses.

University of New Brunswick (Fredericton Campus)

For many in the ADED program (Bachelors of Adult Education, Certificate of Adult Education) as distance students learning online you may never have had the opportunity to visit the Fredericton Campus. If you ever do visit campus, please let us know at the Adult Education department! We would be happy to meet you in person!
